What is Collagen used for?

Collagen, or rather collagens, are responsible for the firmness and elasticity of the skin. Along with hyaluronic acid and elastin, it forms a solid network in the dermis, the second layer of the skin. With age, their quantities and qualities decrease, which results in the famous wrinkles and a "drooping" facial oval.

When we know the importance of collagen for the skin, we must therefore provide it. But not just anyhow.

Applying skincare products containing collagen is not the solution. Collagen molecules are too large to penetrate the dermis and provide the expected firmness.

At Novexpert, we prefer to re-educate the skin and stimulate collagen-producing cells (fibroblasts).
