A 100% natural or 95% natural face cream, isn't it the same thing?

To talk numbers, let’s go back to school …

Many candidates are capable of passing an exam with a 95% score, but very few manage to achieve 100%. Finding the solution to solve the remaining 5% is sometimes an insurmountable hurdle.

It's exactly the same for a 95% natural or 100% natural product.

And we’ll go even further: 99% natural is NOT AT ALL the same as 100% natural.

Enough teasing, time for the explanation. Behind these 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5% of “non-natural” ingredients, here’s what’s hiding:

(Very often) PRESERVATIVES!

Their role? To destroy bacteria in order to preserve the formula.

But in doing so, they also attack the good bacteria found on your skin—which is too bad …

Some examples of preservatives you will not find in a 100% natural face cream: Potassium sorbate / Sorbic acid, Dehydroacetic acid / Sodium dehydroacetate, Sodium benzoate / Benzoic acid, Benzyl alcohol (note that the latter is also a listed allergen, great performance!).

(From time to time) Petrochemical-origin POLYMERS!

Their role? To thicken or stabilize formulas.

But along the way, they can sometimes form an occlusive film on the surface of the skin. Suffocated skin, not great!

Some examples of polymers you will not find in a 100% natural face cream: Carbomer, Acrylates / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylates Crosspolymer, Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Sodium Acrylate / Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer.

(And sometimes even) Ingredients suspected of being ENDOCRINE DISRUPTORS

Their role? They can serve several purposes: preservatives, UV filters, whitening agents, etc. They are the most insidious, because they disrupt hormonal balance, yet their effects are often only visible in the long term. The hormonal system becomes unbalanced.

Some examples of endocrine disruptors you will not find in a 100% natural face cream: Triclosan, Salicylic acid, Benzophenone, Cyclomethicone.

So how do we achieve 100% natural formulas at Novexpert?

A patented innovation: 0 preservatives + a pharmaceutical-standard manufacturing facility guaranteeing products with 0 bacteria at the time of release.

An extreme level of rigor: more than 1,000 ingredients not yet banned on the market, but still questionable, that we choose to exclude!

Time to formulate differently, without marketing pressure!

Hundreds of trials to find natural alternatives that are both stable and effective. An average of 4 years to develop a formula that meets our stringent charter, compared to 1 to 2 years in the cosmetics industry.

We therefore naturally invite you ;-) to carefully read ingredient lists (INCI lists). Many apps can help you with this. Otherwise, visit one of the most well-known consumer reference sites: Que Choisir.

Choosing a 100% natural-origin cream also means preserving benefits as powerful as those of hyaluronic acid, for example: intense hydration, plumping effect, and maintenance of the skin barrier … That’s why, we developed a range dedicated to hyaluronic acid, designed to combine extreme naturalness and performance.

Your skin is 100% natural, your skincare should be too!
